Best of 2014: What the Ready Nutrition Community Found Most Interesting

Best of 2014 - The year in review

Has it already been another year? I cannot believe how quickly 2014 flew by.

My year has been nothing short of wonderful. My family continues to thrive in life and in health, and for that, I’m most thankful. My husband and I are continuing to help our children understand the world around them and help them see the importance of being ready for life’s disasters. Our biggest challenge has been trying to show our children a different path – one that is unplugged from computers and media. As many of you parents may know, in this day and age, this is easier said than done. But they get glimpses of a different way of life – a simpler way of life; and I am content with that.

A big event that happened for me in 2014 was publishing The Prepper’s Blueprint. After reading my online series, 52-Weeks to Preparedness, many of you encouraged me to write a book. It took me some time, but I finally listened to you, and the book has received stellar reviews. In fact, it is currently listed in the top 1,000 books on Amazon. Thank you all so much! If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, I encourage all of you to pick up a copy. It can help you prepare dynamically for small-scale disasters to long-term disasters and each chapter provides age old prepping advice, as well as pertinent lists to help your prepping stay organized.

Many have asked if I plan on writing a new book. At the moment, I am taking a break from book writing, and am concentrating my efforts on my little homestead and the wellbeing of my family. My main preoccupation has been finding natural alternatives to keeping my family well. Lately, I’ve been making homemade salves and tweaking natural remedies for the family (we get a lot of boo-boos working on the homestead). But we are all doing great and ready to start a new year.

As I do at the end of each year, I wanted to share with you the most popular articles on Ready Nutrition. As you can tell by the titles, you guys have an eclectic curiosity for information. I hope you continue to make Ready Nutrition one of your top choices for prepping news and information in 2015. Our writing team has done a great job getting these articles out to you and we will continue to satiate your thirst for knowledge in the coming year.
