For Dad and His Preparedness Supplies
The Ultimate Night Vision Scope – FLIR (This is Forward-Looking Infrared) If you want Dad to have the best, well here’s the best for the buck. No “Dollar Tree” prices on this one, but when your home defense, ability to see bad guys, and ability to hunt at night is priority, then it will be money well spent. You can record digitally with it, and mount it on the top of a weapon or use it as a monocular.
Best there is, and the only one I rely on. I’ve written about this baby in the past, and it’ll serve you well. Double-edged with rip teeth that will cut through cloth or leather. It’ll even fit in a stocking – imagine that!
Just in case you forgot about the Lensatic Compass I keep mentioning (and wrote an article on), here is one you can order for a song!
Don’t be without a dependable compass…especially one you can read without a flashlight in the dark…Tritium-powered, and it never “goes out.” Now it can find its way into that stocking!
Now for Mom and Her Preparedness Gear!
How about a good rifle case? The Shady Lady Shooting Rifle Snowfall in pink should be something to bring a smile to her face. Just the thing: camo, but not overboard, and simple for her to heft into the trunk or the back of the blazer.
How about an ensemble for your wife? Goretex Top and pants! Sitka makes stuff that is almost comparable to military Gore-Tex, without being hard on the eyes.
How about a good watch to put on when the going gets tough? This watch is just what she needs, and a good stocking stuffer to boot (no pun intended!). It’s solar powered and is stylish enough for her, yet can take a beating.
Now for the Kids and the Whole Family!
Here’s a nice tent that will provide room for all of you wherever you decide to camp! The Kodiak Canvas Flex-Bow Deluxe 8-Person Tent has plenty of space with an awning and you don’t have to be under 6’ tall to enjoy it! This is a seriously high-quality tent that will sleep 8, and more than comfortably house half that number.
9. Chefman Food Dehydrator Machine
How about drying some food to go with that canning? Try this dehydrator, the Chefman Food Dehydrator Machine. “Electric Multi-Tier Food Preserver, Meat or Beef Jerky Maker, Fruit Leather, Vegetable Dryer w/ 6 Slide Out BPA Free Drying Rack Trays & Transparent Door, Black.” That’s quite a description! Make fruit, jerky, and everything else you need for snacks or storage.
Last but not least, how about an ATV for the kids...that can be used for other things. This one is powered by a 36V battery…ones with an engine cost thousands. The kids can play with this and YOU CAN RECHARGE THE BATTERY AND USE THIS THING TO HAUL LIGHT STUFF WHEN THERE’S NO FUEL! Look at the specs on it, and you’ll see that it is more than just a toy, but you can control it for the kids, and use it in a pinch.
So, that’s the “Preparedness Top Ten” by JJ, and you be sure and have a Happy and Safe Holiday Season, and stay prepared! JJ out!
