Preparedness Rap Videos: Prepare to Be Entertained

Using music as a form of education has successfully been used in schools for countless years and we can use it as a tool to teach our kids about preparedness.

Now that the idea of preparedness has gone mainstream thanks to shows like Doomsday Preppers and Doomsday Castles, it’s important to show kids that preparedness is really a mindset and that it isn’t just about how much ammo and firearms you have stored up. There is so much more to being prepared and we have to teach the younger generations this.

Teaching Kids Through Music

I’ll be honest, teaching kids about disaster preparedness is not as easy as teaching all of you. Their attention spans are a minute or two (sometimes less) and if you don’t get creative with them, they move on to better things. That said, with kids you have to get down on their level and teach them in a way that they are perceptive too.

It is my over all goal to teach empowerment and hope – even to kids. Talk with your family today about emergency preparedness and your plans for surviving.

  • Talk with your kids today about your preparedness plans
  • What the most likely disasters to prepare for are
  • How you have prepared
  • What their fears are
  • How they can help during a disaster

We can survive disasters and the aftermath that follows as long as we have the right tools, supplies and knowledge up our sleeve.
