I’m a born and bred southern girl, and if its one thing I know, it’s how to make potato salad. Now, this isn’t just any ordinary potato salad — it’s got a kick, and a flavor that leaves everyone wanting more.

I first discovered this recipe in a bbq restaurant and instantly fell in love with it. I made it my lifelong goal to recreate the tasty concoction and am going to share it with all of you! If you like ranch dressing and bacon, then this recipe is right up your alley!

 Tess’s Tasty Potato Salad

  • 3 1/2 lbs. red potatoes
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. dry parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. dry ranch dressing
  • 1/3 c. chives
  • 1/2 c. green onions
  • 1 c. bacon, chopped
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. mayo
  • splash of white vinegar

1. Bake (for medium size should take about an hour). 2.  Let cool slightly then cut into cubes or slice and add to a large bowl. 3.  In bowl, mix in spices one at a time. 4. Add bacon, onion and chives, mix again. 5.  In a separate bowl, mix sour cream, mayo and splash of vinegar and then add to the larger bowl. 6. Cover and refrigerate.  THE LONGER THE BETTER!
