Blueberry Chipotle Sauce

Need a quick hor d’ oeuvre idea? Try this one out – only three ingredients and it’s a big hit at parties.

Well, people, it does not get any easier than this and I’m telling you, you will not buy the jarred stuff again.

I absolutely love this sauce as a dip over cream cheese with crackers or bread, as a glaze over pork tenderloin, or over meatballs. Total hit at parties. Believe me when I say, your guests will love this. I’m sure there are a hundred different ways to use this sauce. Heck, I might just eat it by itself.

And here’s the kicker…three ingredients. So stinkin’ easy.

Preserves and Chipotles for Homemade sauce


Yvearl’s Recipe: Homemade Blueberry Chipotle Sauce


1 jar blueberry preserves
2 T {or more if you like it spicy} Chipotles in adobo, chopped
zest of one lime
juice of 1/2 lime


In a small saucepan combine all ingredients.
Heat on low until heated through, about 8 minutes.
